TBA Member Barbara Burns Remembered

This week the Tennessee Basketry Association sadly learned of the passing of Barbara Burns.  Barbara was a proud Kentuckian and an avid supporter of basketry.  Barbara was a member of TBA every year since it was formed.  She attended the first convention which was held in 2001 in Kingsport.  In 2004 she was elected TBA Treasurer, and held the office for one term, 2004-2005 and 2005-2006.  A master basket maker, she made many different types of baskets.  She is especially remembered for beautiful Nantuckets. 

The Tennessee Basketry Association sends its sincere condolences to Barbara’s family and friends.  May she rest in peace.
