Rim Measurements Made Easy

When measuring a rim, pin the outside rim first; allow a 2" overlap and cut. Unpin it and take another length of rim material. Hold it up beside the outside rim piece and cut a new piece 2" shorter. That will be all you will need for the inside rim piece. Generally, the difference between the inside and outside rims is 2".
